Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat (average MSRP, $5.00) by Sally Hansen is the best top coat I've ever used. My polish usually didn't last for more than a week without chipping, but this has helped my nails survive cleaning and making jewelry for over 2 weeks. It's also a money saver because it's a strengthening base coat.
